Road to Run is a virtual event series bringing together women from all walks of life to learn about opportunities in public leadership.

About this Event

If we want to see gender parity in government in our lifetime, we need to take action now. Join She Should Run as we invite incredible speakers from different cities, backgrounds, and experiences to share their personal stories about the importance and value of public leadership.

Our topic this month is Courage.

Madison Nguyen served as Vice Mayor on the San Jose City Council from 2011 to 2014. When she was four years old, Madison and her family escaped Vietnam on an overcrowded fishing boat. Her time as a refugee, the sacrifices her family made, and growing up as a Vietnamese American shaped who Madison became as a public leader.

Register for this virtual event to hear Madison Nguyen's story, followed by a Q&A where you'll be able to get answers that you can apply to your own leadership journey or while supporting others on theirs.

Who Should Attend

Road to Run is for any woman who is interested in women’s leadership, wants to run for office, knows a woman who should run, or just wants to hear from a leader in the space about issues facing women.
